2019 ENVISION ARTS ENTRY GUIDELINES
HOW TO ENTER

Please review the listed submission dates and deadlines for all upcoming exhibitions listed at the bottom of this page. Entries can only be submitted online via the website. A separate application must be filled out for each show.
Works produced in any of the following media: drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, assemblage, sculpture, pottery, metal works, fiber / textile arts, digital art, contemporary craft and jewelry design. (See our Terms and Conditions for more information on acceptable guidelines and criteria to the juror.) Entries must be the complete work of the submitting artist. Local, regional, national and international artists are encouraged to apply. All work must have been completed within the past three years (2015-2018) and not previously exhibited at any Envision Arts Exhibition.
NUMBER OF ENTRIES + APPLICATION FEE
Each artist is limited to ten (10) images for submission. There is a $35 (USD) non-refundable/non-transferable fee, for up to ten (10) images. Payments must be submitted online at the time of application.
All work must be ready for installation/ready to hang. Submissions are restricted to a weight limit of no more than 30 pounds. Works cannot exceed 60 inches in any direction. Any sculpture or assemblage that exceeds 40 inches in any direction must be available for floor display only. Envision Arts reserves the right to exclude any entry that presents complex/overly complicated installation or assembly problems.
ARTIST NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Accepted artists will be notified no later than December 22, 2018 and will be sent an Exhibition packet via their provided email. (CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE WILL BE REQUIRED FROM ALL ACCEPTED ARTISTS NO LATER THAN DEC. 28TH)
All sales will be completed via an Envision Arts director/staff member via our transactions portals. A commission of 30% will be retained of artist original sales. Works which are not for sale must be clearly marked as such (NFS).
Artists may have prints available for sale. Prints for sale will be stored OFF THE EXHIBIT FLOOR and NO additional tables, bins or displays are permitted in the exhibit space. A staff member will handle the transaction and retrieve the print. Prints may be available in any size. We encourage you to properly photograph your work and have professional prints produced. A commission of 30% will be retained of artist print sales.
Envisions Arts will announce one Best In Show for the exhibition. Winner will be determined by the juror/co-juror(s) and will be announced during the exhibit. Winner will be presented with a framed certificate of Best In Show, have their photograph and artist information listed in an event article, to be published in the upcoming Arts Issue of Dallas Style & Design Magazine, and will have a featured article with up to six images, complete with Q&A, in our own online arts publication, Envisions Arts Magazine.
JUROR / CO-JUROR
Envisions Arts Founder / Director, and Dallas-based artist, Ginger Cochran has curated, or served as a juror, for numerous group or collective exhibitions all throughout north and south Texas, as well as Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. She has a passion for the emerging artists’ sense of community and strives to create opportunities for all artists to network and build working relationships with other artists, clients, industry leads and persons of influence on their careers.
Dallas Style & Design Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, and Dallas-based artist/writer, Doug King has an eye for great art - not to mention luxury. Dallas Style & Design, a quarterly publication, is one of the leading design magazines covering the Dallas / Fort Worth areas. His expertise in fine art, interior design, architecture and luxury homes will serve our exhibitions as co-juror.
DELIVERY OF WORK
Artists are responsible for the delivery of all work to the pre-determined drop off location and/or all delivery or shipping charges to and from the exhibition or art drop site upon selection by the juror. Artists are responsible for their own expenses accrued for travel/lodging or shipment of their art. Accepted works must be delivered or shipped according to the instructions provided by Envision Arts. Entries will not be insured by Envision Arts while in its custody. Envision Arts will not be held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property. No work may be withdrawn before the close of the exhibition. Sending an entry or work to the art drop off location and/or the exhibition shall imply an agreement on the part of the sender to all conditions above.
RETURN OF WORK
Artists are responsible for the removal of art work and property promptly at the conclusion of the exhibit (8:30 PM). No art work or property may be stored overnight at the venue. Venues doors close at 9 PM.
The exhibition will be publicized locally, regionally and nationally via our social media platforms, email, and press release. Envision Arts reserves the right to use photographs and/or digital images of any accepted work for the purpose of publicity for either the exhibit or the artist.
Artists may also submit images for digital display only. The artwork submitted will be displayed during the exhibit via a large nine monitor display, with appropriate and detailed information regarding the piece, artist and contact information. The cost is $30 for three images to be displayed for the duration of the exhibit. Digital display is an appropriate avenue for non-local artists that cannot travel to participate in the exhibit.
